IS YOUR COPIER READY FOR WINDOWS 8?

Why would a copier company be talking about the launch of Windows 8 from Microsoft expected by the end of 2012?  Because it will impact the copier’s ability to print and scan.  When Windows 7 came out it obsoleted half of our inventory.  Some copier manufacturers didn’t  bother to make new print and scan drivers for the older copiers.  In other words;  many XP installations could not go online and find a scan driver for their copier once they upgraded to Windows 7.

What does this mean to you?  If you are going to be in the market for a copier this year you better try to get something new or near new which will cost a little more than the older cheaper copiers which may not be able to scan when windows 8 launches at the end of the year.

We are committed to selling and leasing new copiers (MFPs) near the price of used copiers so you can be assured of print and scan drivers when you eventually upgrade your PCs to Windows 8.  A copier will typically outlive a PC so you eventually will be using the copier for scanning as you upgrade your operating systems either with Windows or Apple OS.
